Welcome to the Next Chapter of Blackbird Hollow Bakery
Blackbird Hollow has become known for whimsical creations and cinnamon rolls. Those recipes helped build this little bakery, and I'll always be grateful for the customers who supported every chapter of that journey.
But as life has changed, so has my heart.
This next chapter is deeply personal.
When I was a little girl, the kitchen was where I felt safest. After my mother became ill, I spent countless days, weekends, and summers with my Grandma Johnson. We baked together, canned together, made candy together, and filled her freezer with breads and cookies that always seemed to be waiting for family and friends.
Those recipes became some of my most treasured memories.
Many of the original recipe cards were lost over the years, but the memories never left me.
Today, I'm carefully recreating those recipes one by one. Some are exactly as I remember them. Others have been lovingly rebuilt from stories, handwritten notes, and the little details that only time can preserve.
Blackbird Hollow is no longer about chasing the newest trend.
It's about preserving the recipes that made a house feel like home.
My hope is that when you walk up to my little bakery, it feels like stopping by a grandmother's kitchen.
